I usually see clients Monday - Thursday, from 10am until 8pm.

I provide individual therapy for adults aged 18 years and over. I offer psychotherapy in person in London Bridge, a few minutes walk from the station and the Shard. I also offer sessions online via Zoom.
-
Psychotherapy sessions are usually once week, at the same time and place every week. We can move between meeting in person, and online, to suit your needs.
Psychotherapy sessions are weekly to begin with, so that we can get clear sense of what you need and how I can help, and because attending regularly is generally more effective.
Changing your session time or day needs to be requested more than 24 hours ahead of time.
Once your therapy timeslot is allocated to you it is not always possible to change your time.
Missed sessions without prior agreement will be charged the full session fee.

An initial meeting is a 50 minute phone call, a zoom meeting, or in person. It is an opportunity for you to get a sense of me and for me to learn more about what you’re looking for. It can help you define what you want to get out of therapy and establish a focus for working together.
I will ask questions about what you, your life, your family and how you currently cope. Sometimes this can be triggering so I will support you to identify how much is ‘enough’ for you to share without being overwhelmed.
For therapy to be effective, we need to be the right ‘fit’ and you need to feel comfortable with me. That means you may need to meet several therapists before you find the one who feels right for you. That can feel challenging and confusing when you’re already feeling vulnerable. That is why I offer a no obligation, no fee session.
-
If you feel comfortable with me and positive about working together, then I usually recommend agreeing to six sessions, then reviewing together how it’s going.
This gives you enough time to get a flavour of how therapy can help you and impact your life, and if you want to continue. It also provides an opportunity to fine tune what you want you want to get out of therapy and to clarify what is, and isn’t working for you.
We usually agree to meet at the same time weekly. However, I appreciate that external factors, such as working on a rota or travelling for work may effect this and I offer flexibility when possible.

Every therapy session is different, because it’s tailored to your individual needs as they evolve over time.
I can help you to identify what feels important for you to work on, understand or change. Then …….

To be able to trust me enough to share sensitive information about yourself or your life, is an important component of psychotherapy.
As a member of the UKCP, BACP and HCPC, I abide by their codes of ethics.
Your sessions are confidential unless there’s a legal or ethical need to share information, for example if you or somebody else were in immediate risk of serious harm. If this were to happen, I would seek your consent before taking any action.
All psychotherapists are required to have clinical supervision with another psychotherapist to ensure best practice. I anonymise all work that I discuss in supervision and my supervisor is bound by the same code of ethics.
-
I appreciate that people come to therapy seeking change, and that predicting a timeframe can offer a sense of control and hope, but unfortunately it is not possible to give you a specific timeframe.
We will continue to review your needs as therapy progresses, and my intention is to make myself redundant so that you no longer need therapy. If you are not experiencing change, I will be questioning what I am doing and how I can better meet your needs.
-
Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice before the appointment will be charged at the full price.
In the unlikely event that I need to change or cancel an appointment, I will provide you with as much notice as possible.
-
Please inform me wherever possible.
Unfortunately I cannot extend sessions past your agreed session time, as that is likely allocated to another client.
-
Communication outside of your sessions is usually limited to practical purposes, such as regarding payments, cancelations etc.
Personal matters should be discussed in your session, to ensure we can both give them the time and attention needed.
-
You are of course, free to end psychotherapy at any time. I do however request that you attend some sessions after your decision to end, to give us time to reflect on what’s happened in therapy. Additionally, ending psychotherapy may bring up memories of previous endings in your life. It therefore becomes an opportunity for learning about yourself and how your current patterns are working for you. The number of sessions we agree on will differ according to individual needs and circumstances.
-
Not at all. If you come to me for therapy, we work in a way that feels comfortable for you. I am trained in different modalities so that I have a bigger tool box to help you, not to put you into a box and make you do something that doesn’t feel right for you.
-
I charge £90 per session (50 minutes). Some individuals benefit from longer sessions, and longer sessions can also be useful for Internal Family Systems therapy. I can help you identify what feels right for you.
I have a limited number of low cost therapy spaces. Please contact me to find out about availability.
I accept payment by cash or by bank transfer.

My therapy space is wheelchair accessible.
